New Bluetooth vulnerability can hack a phone in 10 seconds. [WITH DEMO]

Security company Armis has found a collection of eight exploits, collectively called  BlueBorne , that can allow an attacker access to your phone without touching it. The attack can allow access to computers and phones, as well as IoT devices. “Armis believes many more vulnerabilities await discovery in the various platforms using Bluetooth. These vulnerabilities are fully operational, and can be successfully exploited, as demonstrated in our research. The BlueBorne attack vector can be used to conduct a large range of offenses, including remote code execution as well as Man-in-The-Middle attacks. “BlueBorne affects pretty much every device we use. Turns that Bluetooth into a rotten black one. Don’t be surprised if you have to go see your security dentist on this one,” said Ralph Echemendia, CEO of Seguru. As you can see from this video, the vector allows the hacker to identify a device, connect to it via Bluetooth, and then begin controlling the screen and apps. It’s not comp

The iPhone 8 may have just been announced, but all eyes are on its swankier sibling,  the iPhone X. Here’s the latest on the  iPhone 8,  or read on for everything you need to know about iPhone X. Though it was announced alongside the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, which are iterative improvements over the 7/7 Plus,  the iPhone X is something else entirely and could potentially be the iPhone we’ve been waiting for. Before I go into detail about Apple’s most exciting phone in years, here is everything you need to know about the iPhone X in a nutshell: iPhone X Design:  143.6mm x 70.9mm x 7.7mm, 174g, Glass on front and back – surgical grade stainless steel frame, water-resistant IP67, no Home button iPhone X Screen:  5.8-inch HDR OLED edge-to-edge display, 2436 x 1125 pixel resolution (458ppi) iPhone X Specs:  Apple A11 Bionic 6-core SoC with Apple GPU, Face ID, Stereo speakers, Fast-charge capable (50% charge in 30 minutes), Wireless charging, iOS 11 iPhone X Camera:  Dua

We think we know the names of the new iPhones, thanks to the iOS firmware. Apple’s three new phones are called iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X ( via Steven Troughton Smith ). The 8 and 8 Plus would be the lower-tier LCD phones, whereas the iPhone X is the highly-anticipated nearly-bezelless OLED model. The name reveal joins a flurry of leaks from earlier in the day, detailing new features like   Face ID   and   Animoji ,   new wallpapers , and confirming the   LTE Apple Watch . Whilst this isn’t 100% set in stone, it is by far the best indicator and we are very confident that these are correct. Of course, Apple could have changed its mind about branding decisions late in the game — a change that may not filter as fast into the leaked builds the discovery originates from. A couple of weeks ago,  we heard that casemakers had received intelligence  that the devices would be called iPhon

What to expect from the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X

Menu After months of rumors and leaks, the next iPhone is just days from being unveiled at Apple’s brand new  Steve Jobs Theater . So, what do we know so far? Typical of Apple leaks in recent years, we’ve heard trickles of information on just about every piece of the new device, but, as always, everything is still up in the air. The screen, the camera, the pricing — even the name has been subject to debate in recent weeks. There does seem to be a bit of clarification on the latter point, courtesy of a  massive iOS 11 software leak  that hit this weekend. Turns out the reason so many names have been floating around is simple: Apple’s releasing a bunch of phones. In addition to the expected iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, we’ll also likely be getting a third:  the iPhone X . Here’s a break down of what we think we know about the phones so far. Price Much to Apple’s chagrin, this is going to be one of the phone’s most discussed new features.
